Description:

The Department of Language Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga
invites applications for a one-year limited term appointment (LTA) position in
Linguistics beginning on August 1, 2019.  This position is 74% of a full-time
teaching stream position and involves the teaching load of five courses (2.5
FCE) plus service in the 2019-20 academic year. The hiree will teach Phonetics
(LIN228H5F) and Morphological Patterns in Languages (LIN231H5F) in the fall
term and three of the following four courses in the winter term: Sound
Patterns in Language (LIN229H5S), Language Diversity and Universals
(LIN476H5S), English Words (LIN233H5S), English Grammar II (LIN205H5S).  

The successful candidate is expected to have earned a Ph.D. in Linguistics by
August 1, 2019 and to have an established record of excellence in, and a
demonstrated commitment to teaching. Teaching experience at the University of
Toronto (Mississauga) is considered an asset.
