Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf
invites applications for a Lecturer in semantics, to begin October 1, 2020. A
secondary specialization in pragmatics, philosophy of language, syntax,
psycholinguistics, computational linguistics or another area of cognitive
science as well as demonstrated experience with empirical and experimental
methods (text/corpus linguistics) is desirable.

The successful candidate will conduct research in the domain of semantics and
related research areas, participate in the preparation of grant proposals, and
teach a limited number of classes in semantics, pragmatics and logic at the
BA, MA and PhD levels. While a good command of German is desirable, it is not
essential.

The start date is October 1, 2020, and the initial appointment is until
September 30, 2021 (with a possibility of an extension). Salary is on the
German scale TV-L E13, %100.

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree (or an equivalent degree) by the
time of application. Applications for this position should be submitted
