Call for Papers for Tlalocan XXVI

The journal Tlalocan, published by the National Autonomous University of
Mexico, is pleased to announce its call for papers for volume XXVI. The
journal, founded in 1943, is dedicated to the publication of oral and
ethnohistorical texts in indigenous languages of the linguistic families found
in Mexico. We are now accepting manuscripts for consideration to be published
in the upcoming issue. In addition to texts based on oral tradition and
written texts based on colonial documents, for instance, we also accept book
reviews and notes.

Manuscripts should be formatted using our style guide which can be found on
our website (http://www.iifilologicas.unam.mx/tlalocan/). We accept
manuscripts in Spanish or English. There is no restriction as to subject
matter, and texts from a variety of genres including, but not limited to,
myths, legends, rituals, and personal narratives are welcome. Please consult
the website for examples of the type of material we publish. We do not have a
maximum nor a minimum number of pages for manuscripts. In addition to the
printed format, we also make published manuscripts available on our website in
pdf format in open access, and we can provide a space for audio or video
recordings that accompany the oral text.

Manuscripts and inquiries should be sent as Word or rtf files via e-mail
directly to the editors of Volume XXVI: Mercedes Montes de Oca and Carolyn
O'Meara at tlalocan at unam.mx.

While we are constantly receiving manuscripts for consideration, we have
established the deadline for receipt of manuscripts as January 6, 2020.
