Description:

The professorship is responsible for the subproject "Kurds in Germany" as part
of the LOEWE research cluster "Minority Studies: Language and Identity". The
post holder has excellent knowledge of minority languages in the Middle East,
especially Iranian languages in Iran and Turkey, and is identified through
relevant preparatory work.

A PhD in a relevant subject, additional scientific achievements as well as
familiarity with methods of linguistic field research and language
documentation are required. In addition, knowledge of third-party fund
acquisition is expected.

At the same time, the professorship is involved in teaching in the study
programs Empirical Linguistics.
The appointment as Professor (civil servant or public employee) is for six
years.The designated salary for the position is based on "W2" of the German
university scale or equivalent.
