Description:

The Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences at the University at
Buffalo (UB), The State University of New York, invites applications for a
10-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Sciences or
Disorders. 

Faculty are expected to develop and maintain an independent, outstanding
program of research, actively seek extramural research support from federal
agencies and foundations, and publish in excellent peer-reviewed journals. 
Faculty also are expected to teach three courses per year in the department at
the graduate and/or undergraduate level and engage in service to the
Department, University, and the profession appropriate to the academic rank.
We particularly encourage applications from individuals with expertise in
language science, acquired brain injury, cognitive aspects of communication
and/or adult language disorders.  

Completed applications are due November 1, 2019. Priority will be given to
applications completed by October 15th.

UB is a member of the AAU and has a strong tradition of research excellence in
communication sciences and disorders that includes training of doctoral
students.  With support from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Department
is committed to build upon existing research, clinical and academic capacities
to continue to provide leadership in the fields of speech-language sciences
and disorders.

Minimum Qualifications: 
PhD in Communicative Disorders or related field.

Preferred Qualifications: 
- Post-doctoral experience, 
- University teaching experience and 
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology are
desirable, but not required.
