Subject: Karl Eberhards Corpus of Southern German

Dear colleagues,

I would like to take the liberty to advertise the Karl Eberhards Corpus of
Spontaneously Spoken Southern German.

The corpus contains 40 dialogues of spontaneously spoken southern German (a
total of 79 speakers), including half an hour of articulography for 20 of the
speakers. Speakers were seated in separate recording chambers, mimicking a
telephone call, and recorded on individual audio channels.

In addition to the audio recordings, the corpus provides manually corrected
word boundaries and automatically aligned segment boundaries, as well as part
of speech tags.

Annotations are available in the Praat format. Speakers filled out a detailed
questionnaire, assessing among others their audio-visual consumption habits.

The corpus is free to use for scientific research and can be downloaded from
the following link:

http://hdl.handle.net/11022/1009-0000-0007-DADB-D

A Paper summarizing the corpus can be found here

All the best,

Fabian Tomaschek
