In the last years, theoretically informed research on syntax of different
varieties of German has gained momentum. In this symposium, which is held on a
regular basis, we want to bring together researchers in this field and offer a
forum for this line of research. We aim for a quality publication out of the
conference papers.  The conference languages will be German and English.

In den letzten Jahren hat die theoretisch informierte Forschung zur Syntax
verschiedener Varietäten des Deutschen zunehmend an Bedeutung gewonnen. Wir
wollen in diesem Symposium, das regelmäßig stattfindet, Forscher in diesem
Gebiet zusammenkommen lassen und ein Forum für diese Forschungsrichtung
bieten. Eine Publikation ist geplant. Die Konferenzsprachen werden Deutsch und
Englisch sein.


Second Call for Papers:

We invite contributions on syntactic research on contemporary or historical
dialects or other varieties of German or closely related languages (e.g.
Letzeburgish, Cimbrian and other isolated communities). The talks should treat
the data from a theoretically informed perspective. Please send a one-page
abstract (Times New Roman, 12 dpi, 1 inch margins) plus 1 page for examples
and references in pdf format to sardis at uni-saarland.de. Deadline is May 10,
2020.

Speaking Time: 30 min + 15 min discussion

Wir laden dazu ein, mit Vorträgen über die Syntax heutiger bzw. historischer
Dialekte bzw. Varietäten des Deutschen oder nahe verwandter Sprachen (z.B.
Letzeburgisch, Zimbrisch und andere deutsche Sprachinseln) mit einem
theoretischen Anspruch zu der Tagung beizutragen. Bitte senden Sie ein
Abstract (1 Seite plus 1 Seite für Beispiele und Literaturangaben; Times New
Roman, 12 dpi, Ränder 2,5 cm) bis 10. Mai 2020 an sardis at uni-saarland.de.

Die Vorträge sind auf 30 Minuten plus 15 Minuten Diskussion angesetzt.
