Meeting Description: 

The Discourse and Politics Seminar Series 2021 is a virtual, multidisciplinary
research seminar on how language (mis)informs political understanding.

Panel sessions will take place on Microsoft Teams every two weeks, starting on
January 11, 2021. The sessions will take place from 11am to 12.30pm and 4pm to
5.30pm every other Monday.

Speakers will present for 20 minutes and after all presentations, there will
be a chance to ask questions of participants.

Registering will give you access to the Microsoft Teams links for all five
panel sessions but you are welcome to attend only those sessions which appeal
to you.

We are pleased to announce that registration for the Discourse and Politics
Seminar Series 2021 is now open.

Signing up will give you access to all panel sessions but you do not have to
attend them all.

Sessions are split into a morning (11am – 12.30pm) and an evening panel (4pm –
5.30pm). Sessions will cover:
 - Brexit, nationalism and national identities (11 Jan 2021)
 - Social movements and protests (25 Jan 2021)
 - Health communication (8 Feb 2021)
 - Political personalities and gender politics (22 Feb 2021)
 - Political (mis)information (8 March 2021)
