Meeting Description:

Technology influences language, people, and society as a whole. The ILTAL 2021
conference aims to explore how technology has impacted policy, curriculum, and
pedagogy in language education and how it will impact the future of language
policy and practice and our society, in general. The conference aims to create
an ideal platform for researchers, teacher trainers, policymakers, principals,
teachers, and graduate students to discuss, exchange, and share their
research, experience, and ideas about all aspects of language policy,
practice, and technology in education.


Second Call for Papers: 

Theme: ''Language-in-education policy and practice in the digital era''

Objectives:
Technology influences language, people, and society as a whole. The ILTAL 2021
conference aims to explore how technology has impacted policy, curriculum, and
pedagogy in language education and how it will impact the future of language
policy and practice and our society, in general. The conference aims to create
an ideal platform for researchers, teacher trainers, policymakers, principals,
teachers, and graduate students to discuss, exchange, and share their
research, experience, and ideas about all aspects of language policy,
practice, and technology in education.

Topic Strands (suggested suggested but not limited to the below):
Proposals are welcome in the following topic strands:
 - Language Policy and Planning
 - English as Medium of Instruction / Content-Language Integrated Learning in
Asian contexts and beyond
 - Family Language Policy
 - Bi/multilingualism in Education
 - Translanguaging in Education
 - The Impact of Technology on Assessment
 - Intercultural Communication
 - Curriculum, Syllabus and Materials Design
 - Classroom Interaction
 - Language Teacher Education
 - Digital Literacies
 - Technology and Language Teaching and Learning
 - Multimodality in Language Education

Abstracts:
Language requirement: English (Please fill in the titles and keywords on the
application form)
Word limit: 250-300 words (excluding references)
Content: Research background, objectives, methods and outcomes (Please do not
send full papers)
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Organising Committee. Applicants will be
notified by late January through emails.
