Description:

At the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies of the University of
Vienna, Austria the position of a "University Professor of Applied Linguistics
of Contemporary English" (full time, permanent position) is to be filled.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding academic with a strong
international reputation in one or more areas of Applied Linguistics.
Crucially, the candidate will be committed to the applied relevance of their
work (especially in areas other than education) and make a strong and
inspiring contribution to our study programmes (including their development),
i.e. Bachelor & Master of Arts, Bachelor & Master of Education, and PhD.

All teaching at the department takes place through English and therefore
German language competence is not a requirement at the hiring stage.
