Description:

The School of Linguistics and Language Studies at Carleton University launches
a new graduate MA program in linguistics in the fall of 2020:

MA in Linguistics

The 2-year Carleton MA in Linguistics provides students with a solid grounding
in theoretical linguistics covering the main areas of linguistic theory, with
an opportunity to explore interdisciplinary connections with related fields.
It is housed in a unit known for its diverse approaches to the study of
language and its collaboration with other units in the University.

Funding support is available through TAships and scholarships. Funding for
international students is available but extremely limited and competitive.
While the initial application deadline is March 1, applicants will be
considered until the end of August or when the programs are filled.
