Description:

The School of Linguistics and Language Studies at Carleton University launches
a new graduate program starting in the fall of 2020:

PhD in Linguistics, Language Documentation, and Revitalization

The PhD in Linguistics, Language Documentation and Revitalization will have a
dual focus on linguistically informed documentation and community-oriented
maintenance and revitalization. It is housed in a unit known for its diverse
approaches to the study of language.

Funding support is available through TAships and scholarships. Funding for
international students is available but extremely limited and competitive.
While the initial application deadline is March 1, applicants will be
considered until the end of August or when the programs are filled.
