2nd Summer School of the Serbian Language

Description:
The course is intended for students of Serbian/Serbo-Croatian as a foreign
language studying at European and world universities, as well as for the
members of the Serbian diaspora aged 18 and over. 

The summer school will primarily be focused on various aspects of the Serbian
Language (ekavian and ijekavian pronunciation, speaking skills, writing,
grammar and lexicology), but it will also cover topics in Serbian literature,
film, the history of Montenegro, science, religion, etc. - contingent on the
students' interests. The lecturers are all university professors.

In addition to the classes, the host institution will organize a number of
extracurricular activities that may range from the Bay of Kotor boat tour or a
rafting tour on the Tara, to museum visits, sports activities, movie nights,
etc.

The course will be organized at three levels: beginner, intermediate and
advanced. To determine the course level that best suits their individual
needs, the students will be asked to take a placement test.

The classes take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Friday. 

All participant who pass the final exam will receive a Certificate of
completion issued by Matica srpska.

The first part of the program (July 18 to 25) will take place in Igalo. The
students will be accommodated in double and triple rooms at the Villa “Rada”.
Every unit has a private bathroom, air-conditioning, TV, fridge and the
Internet connection. Breakfast and dinner will be provided by the villa
restaurant. 

The second part of the program (July 25 to August 8) will take place in
Nikšić. The participants will be accommodated in double rooms at the Onogošt
Hotel, located in the city center. Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the
hotel restaurant.

Tuition: 630 EUR

Tuition Explanation: The fee is payable upon arrival and includes the cost of accommodation and two
meals per day (check out the description above). 

Course tuition (classes, lesson handouts, extracurricular materials and one
excursion trip) will be covered by the host institution, Matica Srpska -
Association of members in Montenegro.

Travel and insurance costs are to be covered by the participants.
