Meeting Description:

Conference on Building Linguistic Systems

A conference is planned for July 1-3, 2020 at the University of York, to mark
the retirement of Professor Marilyn Vihman later that summer. Professor
Vihman’s work on the relationship between perception and production has
changed our understanding of how children build early phonological
representations, and her publications on phonological, lexical and
morphological development have become essential reading for child language
scholars around the world. Looking to carry these lines of research forward,
we invite abstract submissions by January 15, 2020 for either talks or posters
relating to the following themes:

- Early phonological, lexical or morphological development
- Interaction between production and perception
- Emergent systematicity

we invite abstract submissions by January 22 (extended deadline) - for either
talks or posters relating to the following themes:

Early phonological, lexical or morphological development
Interaction between production and perception
Emergent systematicity

Contributions relating to these topics based on experimental and/or
observational studies with infants or toddlers or on modelling approaches are
equally welcome.

figures). Submissions will be handled by Easy Chair. Please upload your
