Meeting Description:

The aim of this international conference is to provide a forum for academic

researchers from across Europe and the Middle East, and beyond.

This year the first day of the conference will be devoted entirely to a
study-day on Peninsular varieties only (i.e. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar,
Bahrain, Oman, Emirates, and Yemen).

Final Call for Papers:

Please note this call includes a new deadline of January 31!

The 4th Arabic Linguistics Forum welcomes the submission of abstracts in all
areas of Arabic linguistics: phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics,
morphology, dialectology, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, conversation
analysis, historical linguistics, language acquisition, psycholinguistics,
computational linguistics, and applied linguistics.

This year, the University of Leeds will hold a pre-Forum study-day on the
Arabic dialects of the Arabian Peninsula, on June 30, 2020. Abstracts for the
pre-Forum workshop must consider Peninsular varieties only in all areas of
Linguistics. It is possible to submit two abstracts both for the pre-Forum
study-day and the conference.

optionally be included, but should not exceed two pages of A4 (or US

Talks will be allotted 20 minutes for the presentation with 10 minutes for
questions and answers.

The deadline for all submissions is extended to January 31, 2020.

Abstracts must be submitted via EasyChair at:
https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=alif2020
