One of a kind conference where a variety of international topics about
phonology will be presented. Speakers and participants from all over the world
will be joining! The ICPC 2020 will be held at the Universidad Ana G. Méndez,
Gurabo, Puerto Rico, from June 24 to 26, 2020.

Call for Papers:

The Organizing Committee of ICPC 2020 is pleased to invite researchers,
faculty and students to submit abstracts for either oral or poster
presentations. The abstract submission deadline is March 1st 2020, before
11:59 pm. AST. After this date, abstracts will not be accepted for
consideration. Presenters should not be permitted to modify their abstract
text after the submission deadline. Abstracts should be submitted in English
and will be accepted by electronic submission only. It is the author’s
responsibility to follow the posted guidelines and instructions. Abstracts
that do not conform to official guidelines will not be accepted. 

General Instructions:

-All abstracts must be submitted electronically and in English.

-Abstracts should not contain Tables, Figures, or References.

-No changes can be made after the abstract is submitted.

-You must certify that all authors, co-authors and mentors (if applicable)
have read and approved the abstract before including their names on it.

The abstract should contain:

-Introduction / Background: A brief description of the significance and
importance of the research submitted. Please include the study’s aim/goal, the
research questions, and hypothesis, if applicable.
-Methods: Brief description of the research study design, procedures,
statistical analysis, strategies, and/or activities.
-Results: Summary of the preliminary or final results obtained.
-Conclusion: A statement about the findings reached and future directions.
-Acknowledgements: Funding source, conflict of interest disclosure, general
acknowledgements, etc.

The total length of the abstract should not exceed 500 words, excluding title,
authors, and affiliations. Any text longer than the specified number of
characters will be rejected.

If appropriate, write the following sentence: ''Approved by IRB'' and include
the protocol number of approval in the electronic abstract submission.

Evaluation Process:

A committee will evaluate the abstracts. The main criterion of evaluation will
be the quality of the research, as appreciated in the abstract. Evaluations
will be made according to the following criteria: general objective,
consistency of the title with the content, information presented in accordance
to the general guidelines.

The authors will be notified, via email, the status of their abstracts. It is
a requirement for the author or co-author(s), to present their research at the
assigned date and time. All presentations should be in English.

Deadline for submission: March 1, 2020
