Computational linguist (m/f/d)

Kauz GmbH is a market leader in NLU-based chatbots in Germany.  Since 2016 we
have set ourselves the goal to develop chatbots that understand.

We are a team of young and motivated linguists, computational linguists and
computer scientists. We strive to advance the state of the art in NLU and to
offer new and innovative solutions to our customers. During the corona
pandemic, we were able to maintain collaboration with our customers through
agile project management and also through strong and goal-oriented teamwork.
To continue offering this service and to further develop our product, we are
looking for motivated and passionate computational linguists. 

Your tasks: 
You will work in exciting customer- and internal projects together with other
members of the team and contribute to the development and operations of our
NLU-engine and chatbot platform. Over time, you could specialize in fields
such as morphology, semantic parsing, RTE, NLG, or any other sub-discipline.

You are the ideal candidate, if you fulfill the following requirements:
- You hold a Masters degree or a Ph.D. in linguistics, computational
linguistics or a comparable degree. Further academic or industry experience is
highly welcome but not a must.
- You are enthusiastic about linguistics and artificial intelligence.
Familiarity with Machine Learning is a plus, but not a necessity
- You like coding and you have a good working knowledge of Java or an
object-oriented language. In any case, your programming skills go
significantly beyond the ability to write Python scripts.
- You are a team player
- You know German at least on the B2 level.
