Description:

The Department of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi seeks a
tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish specializing in Computational
Linguistics with a focus on language corpora. 

The successful candidate will teach in undergraduate Spanish and linguistics
programs, and for the M.A. graduate Spanish and Linguistics programs, and for
the Ph.D. in Second Language Studies. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in
Spanish or a related field by August 2020, native or near-native proficiency
in Spanish, with experience in teaching Spanish language courses, and/or
linguistics in both Spanish and English. Contributing service and publishing
research are required. This position is intended to strengthen our new
doctoral program with emphases in Spanish and Applied Linguistics. Interested
