Meeting Description:

In accordance with the traditions of conferences held in 1990 - 2018 in Moscow
and St. Petersburg, the topic will focus on significant parallelism in the
morphosyntactic and semantic structures of the languages of the Far East,
Southeast Asia and West Africa, which cannot be explained either by the
genealogical relationship of languages, or by areal factors. Research for both
individual languages and work in the field of typology are accepted for
consideration.
The 2020 conference will be dedicated to the memory of Mark Ilyich Kaplun, a
famous africanist, phonetist, Yoruba language specialist, who left us in
October 2019. In this regard, reports on West African languages are
particularly welcome.


Call for Papers: 

Those wishing to take part in an in-person conference in absentia must, by
July 1, 2020, send an application for participation and an article on
conference issues with a volume of 3-10 pages of text to the organizing
committee. The application and the text of the articles are sent
electronically to lesewaconf at gmail.com. Texts of articles should be executed
in MS Word format, font Times New Roman, font size - 14. Working field of A4
format with the following parameters: upper and lower margins - 2.0 cm, left -
3.0 cm, right - 1.5 cm, after 1.5 intervals. Report time - 20 minutes,
discussion on the report - 10 minutes. Working languages are Russian and
English.

The registration fee, ensuring that the author receives the first copy of the
conference materials, is 200 rubles per page of the text of the article plus
postage (200 rubles). An additional copy for co-authors is paid separately -
100 rubles. Payment for publication of the collection will be made on the day
of the opening of the conference upon registration of participants.

The content is the responsibility of the author.

Requirements for the design of the text:
 - Initials and surname / surnames of the author / authors (on the right),
below - institution, city.
 - Title of the work (in bold)
 - A brief summary of the article in English (5-6 sentences)
 - Links to works: in parentheses are the names of the authors without
initials and the year of publication. For example: (Winter - 1986).
 - References - no more than 5 titles.
 - Sample work from the list of references at the end of the article:
Leontiev V.V. Psychology of communication // Materials of a scientific and
practical conference. M., 2007.
 - Tables should be typed in MS Word.

In the application for participation, please indicate: last name, first name,
middle name (fully); academic degree and title; Place of work, position; home
address; article title, phone, e-mail.
