Description:

You Tasks:
- At least 70% of your assignment will be spent on academic research.
- As a postdoctoral researcher you will be engaged in a project that
investigates the relation between measures of productive (“novel”, “creative”
or “unconventional”) use of grammatical constructions in linguistic corpora
and processing of such constructions in real time language comprehension. You
will focus particularly on theoretical questions related to the use of fully
novel use of lexical items with constructions and with the representation of
constructions in the human language processing system. Your research will
apply methods such as EEG and eye-tracking in comprehension, as well as
language production methods such as structural priming. We also expect you to
co-supervise PhD students.

What We Are Looking For:
- You hold a thesis-based doctorate in psychology, linguistics, or a related
discipline (obtained max. 6 years ago. This term of 6 years is determined by
the date written on the above-mentioned required diploma).
- You are an independent researcher with management and coordination skills.
- You are prepared to share your knowledge with PhD students within a large
interdisciplinary consortium.
- You have experience with empirical psycholinguistic research
- You have expertise in ERP research
- You have a strong track record in psycholinguistics
- You have advanced knowledge of data analysis using R and LME
- You are proficient in English (C1)
- Experience with eye-tracking research is an asset
- Experience with supervising more junior researchers is an asset
- Programming skill (especially in Python) is an asset
- Knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, French, German, or Icelandic  is an asset
- Demonstrated engagement in good (open science) practices is an asset

What We Can Offer You:
- We offer you a contract of indefinite duration with a maximum term of 3
years.
- Your contract will start on 1/01/2021 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale PD1.
