Linguistic Field(s): General Linguistics

Subject Language(s): French (fra)

Meeting Description:

This conference aims to take stock of the most recent advances in the GM-F
comparative field and to serve as a meeting place and exchange between
researchers and young researchers working in different frameworks and
theoretical programs. The objective would be to sketch the current cartography
of this field and to work on its potential and its visibility in the LDS
landscape. The recent evolution of descriptive models, the multiplication of
available resources, thanks in particular to digital processing and the
development of corpus linguistics, have led to the emergence of approaches
transcending traditional grammatical and / or typological categories turning
to textual and contextual data.

The various contributions of this conference will thus tend to explore the
themes which participate in the renewal of methods and approaches in this
field.
- discursive markers
- determination, indefinite, quantification
- mode and modality
- negation, interrogation
- derivational morphology (diminutive, meliorative, pejorative, etc.)

This first meeting would also serve as a basis for the formation of an
academic network (establishments, research laboratories, etc.) which would aim
to continue these exchanges in the form of conferences or regular events
organized by the members of the network.
