Meeting Description:

The conference will be held online. Its aim is to present, exchange, and
discuss the results  of academic research in the sphere of business language
and culture.  Thus, we would like to invite both researchers and practitioners
 who are interested in the topic, viewed through the lens of linguistics,
sociology, psychology, cultural studies, methodology, and the like. 

We are pleased to announce that the following speakers have expressed their
agreement to present plenary lectures during the conference:
 - Prof. Aldona Frączkiewicz-Wronka, University of Economics in Katowice
 - Prof. Václav Řeřicha, Palacký University Olomouc 
 - Prof. Władysław Chłopicki, Jagiellonian University


Call for Papers: 

This year’s leading theme will revolve around VALUES  that shape the world of
business and impact on the ways  in which businesspeople communicate. The list
of possible topics includes but is by no means limited to:

 - Public relations - cultural and linguistic aspect
 - Advertising - cultural and linguistic aspect
 - Business and recruitment process - cultural and linguistic aspect
 - Business and teamwork - cultural and linguistic aspect
 - Business and stereotypes - cultural and linguistic aspect
 - Business and conflict - cultural and linguistic aspect
 - Business and humour - cultural and linguistic aspect
 - Business and non-verbal and paraverbal communication
 - Business and religion
 - Corporate cultures
 - Culture shock in the corporate world
 - International management
 - Business genres
 - Cultural taxonomies
 - Values, heroes, and rituals in the business environment
 - Teaching Business English and English for Specific Purposes 

The contributions from authors will be in the following languages: English and
Polish

Each presenter will be given 30 minutes (20 minutes plus 10 minutes for
discussion).
Abstracts describing the topic of a presentation in up to 300 words should be
included in your registration form (see:

December 2020. 

All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance. Participants
without a paper are also welcome.

Fee options:
1.) participation with a paper: 200 PLN / 50 Euros
2.) participation without a paper: 100  PLN / 25 Euros

The conference languages are English and Polish.
