Subject: Call for Participants: Mandarin, English Speakers

Hi, we are looking for volunteers to take part in a study of
psycholinguistics: Tracking English Sentence Processing.
As a participant in this online research project, you would be asked to answer
a few questions about your linguistic background and complete an online
reading experiment through the platform of Pavlovia.org. During the
experiment, you will be asked to crack an online maze task of reading English
sentences.
Your participation would involve only 1 session, which is approximately 20 to
40 minutes.

If you are at the age of 18 to 55, and you are:
1. A native English Speaker born in Canada/US, or;
2. An English Speaker born in a Chinese family in Canada/US or you have moved
to Canada/US before the age of 6-8 (i.e. you speak English as your dominant
language since you were 6-8 while you speak Chinese only with your family
members), you are welcome to participate in this experiment by clicking this
link: https://run.pavlovia.org/yux580/mazeusask/html/

Please fill 01 as the participant number if you think you are in the first
population as the above description (native English speakers); Fill 02 if you
feel you are in the second population (born in Canada/Us or moved there before
the age of 6-8, speaking English dominantly in community but Chinese mandarin
with your family members).

For any questions, please contact:
Yubin Xing, Department of Linguistics, University of Saskatchewan, at email:

This study has been approved by the University of Saskatchewan Behavioural
Research Ethics Board.
Thank you!😉
