Meeting Description:

The Department of General Linguistics at the Faculty of Philology, University
of Belgrade, Serbia is pleased to announce its international conference on
Linguistics. For us, 2021 is an important year; it is with great pride that we
will be marking our anniversary – 30 years from the founding of our Department
of General Linguistics in Belgrade. BeLiDa 2021 aims to mark this important
event by bringing together researchers, scientists and students to exchange
and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects
of Language.


Call for Papers: 

We invite submissions of abstracts for presentations of previously unpublished
research in all areas of theoretical linguistics, including, but not limited
to: 
 - phonetics
 - phonology
 - morphology
 - syntax
 - semantics
 - pragmatics 
 - historical linguistics
 - sociolinguistics 
 - language acquisition
 - psycholinguistics 
 - neurolinguistics 
 - computational linguistics
 - discourse analysis  

As the covid-19 situation is still unpredictable, it is acceptable for those
participants who can not attend the conference because of the travel
restrictions to present their papers online. The organizing committee will
monitor the situation and the conference may be switched to virtual mode if
necessary.

The official language of the conference is English.

Each paper will be allotted 20 minutes (15 minutes for presentation and 5
minutes for discussion).

A selection of papers will be published after the conference. Further details
on the type and profile of publications will be announced in the Second Call
for Papers.
 
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: 
Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words (excluding references) and should
be sent via e-mail (as Word 1997-2003 attachments) to: belida at fil.bg.ac.rs

Abstracts should be fully anonymous (title of the paper + abstract +
references).

The following information should be specified in the body of the e-mail:
(1)           Title of the paper
(2)           Name of the author(s)
(3)           Affiliation of the author(s)
(4)           Key words
(5)           E-mail address(es)

IMPORTANT DATES: 
Deadline for abstract submission: September 1, 2021
Notification of acceptance: October 1, 2021

CONFERENCE FEE: 
The conference fee is 50 Euros. The fee includes:
 - conference pack
 - coffee break refreshments

A conference dinner is planned. The time and venue will be announced at a
later date. 
PhD students will be allowed a discounted conference fee of 30 Euros.
