Description:

The Labex EFL (Empirical Foundations of Linguistics, Paris,
https://www.labex-efl.fr/) is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in General
Linguistics. 

Employment type: Full-time (net salary of about 2180 EUR)
Starting date: between 01/10/2021 and 01/04/2022 (negotiable) 
Duration: 12 or 24 months (depending on the project)  
Application deadline: June 18, 2021 (24h CET)

The position is attached to the research strand « Typology and Dynamics of
Linguistic Systems (Strand 3) » of the Labex EFL. 

Applications (in English or French) are invited for one of the three topics
listed below. For the job description, required skills, and contacts for more

1. The areal dynamics of ideophones and/or interjections (24 months)
2. Corpus-based analysis of discourse-related morphosyntactic phenomena in an
underdescribed language  (12 months) 
3. Documentation, description and analysis of Gallo-Romanic speakers of the
Crescent  (12 months)

The application file must be sent in a single email by June 18, 2021 to
katharina.haude_AT_cnrs.fr and to the address indicated in the description of
the individual project that is applied for 

The file must contain the following elements:
- A letter of motivation, indicating the research operation for which you are
applying
- A description of the personal research project to be carried out during the
contract (max. 4000 characters, spaces included)
- A cv including a list of publications, highlighting the three most important
ones
- The link to a website where your publications can be consulted;
alternatively, 3 representative publications in pdf format
- 2 letters of support 

The interviews of the preselected candidates will take place on July 2nd,
2021.
