Meeting Description:

It is sometimes said that when one knows the concepts in a domain and the
relationships between them, one knows the domain to a significant extent. For
this reason, the representation of the system of concepts has always been a
major concern of the theory of terminology.

The conference Concept Systems and Frames in Terminology 2022 aims to discuss
and explore the criteria that should guide the representation of the system of
concepts behind the terminology of a domain. Traditionally, the approach is to
set up a concept system, sometimes also called ontology, in which nodes
represent terms and arrows the relationships between them. Frames constitute a
more recent alternative approach, which connects terminology with cognitive
modelling.

We expect contributions to focus on advantages and disadvantages of one or the
other approach, comparisons of the two approaches, or solutions to problems
arising in one or the other approach.


Call for Papers:

Abstracts:
Language requirement: English
Word limit: between 300 and 500 words (excluding references)
Content: Research background, objectives, methods and outcomes (Please do not
send full papers)
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. 

Call Deadline: 4th April 2022

Applicants will be notified by 20th of May through emails.
