Subject: Deadline Extended: Texas Linguistics Society Call for Papers

The deadline for the call for papers for the Texas Linguistics Society
conference has been extended to Friday, November 26th.

The Texas Linguistics Society at the University of Texas at Austin meets
annually for a conference which invites submissions from all subfields of
linguistics. Each year, we also select a topic for a special session, the
topic this year being language identity and language learning.

The Twenty First Meeting of the Texas Linguistics Society will take place
February 11–12, 2022. The conference will be hosted in person at the
University of Texas at Austin Glickman Conference Center. In the event that an
in-person conference is not viable due to COVID-19 circumstances, the
conference will proceed virtually.

This year's conference will feature keynote presentations from:

Fernando Llanos (University of Texas at Austin)
Joseph Hill (Rochester Institute of Technology)
Wesley Leonard (University of California, Riverside)

The organizers invite papers from all sub-fields of linguistics. There will be
a special session focusing on language identity and language learning.

Presentations will be 20 minutes in length, with 10 minutes for
questions/discussion. There will also be a poster session.

Abstract guidelines:

Length: 500 words maximum, excluding examples and references.

Format: Include the paper or poster title and the text of the abstract. The
abstract should not include the author’s name, affiliation, or other
identifying information. All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously.

Deadline for submission: November 26, 2021

Notification: December 17, 2021
