Abstract:

The first handbook of Lexicography written in Greek. A lexicographer and a
linguist discuss issues and principles of lexicographical practice as a basis
for teaching and learning lexicography. What is the relation between
lexicography and linguistics? What makes each dictionary type distinct? What
are the sources for dictionary writing? How are definitions and examples of
use written? These are some of the questions that this handbook addresses.

Το πρώτο έργο αναφοράς που έχει εκδοθεί στα ελληνικά με αποκλειστικό
αντικείμενο τη λεξικογραφία. Μια λεξικογράφος και μια γλωσσολόγος παρουσιάζουν
ζητήματα και αρχές λεξικογραφικής πρακτικής. Ποια η σχέση λεξικογραφίας και
γλωσσολογίας, σε τι διαφέρουν τα διάφορα είδη λεξικών μεταξύ τους, από πού
αντλούν τα λεξικά το υλικό τους, πώς γράφονται τα ερμηνεύματα και τα
παραδείγματα; Αυτά και άλλα ερωτήματα φιλοδοξεί να απαντήσει αυτό το
εγχειρίδιο, που απευθύνεται σε επαγγελματίες της λεξικογραφίας, σε ερευνητές
που ασχολούνται με το αντικείμενο, σε όσους συλλέγουν και επεξεργάζονται
γλωσσικό υλικό με στόχο να δημιουργήσουν ένα λεξικό αλλά και σε οποιονδήποτε
ενδιαφέρεται για τα ζητήματα που κρύβει αυτή η απολαυστική δραστηριότητα.
