Description:

We offer an exciting opportunity to apply for a full-time Ph.D. scholarship (4
years of funding) in the Department of Translation and Language Sciences at
the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona). The scholarship is funded by the
Project “BIBA: Bidirectional Effects of Bilingualism Across Ages”
(PID2020-114276GB-I00), through the Spanish Ministry of Science and
Innovation.

We are seeking to recruit a motivated Ph.D. candidate for a research project
on Catalan-Spanish bilingualism devoted to investigating several
morphosyntactic and semantic features bidirectionally. More information on the
project can be found on the webpage of our research group:
https://www.upf.edu/web/allencam/periferies. The successful candidate will
need a Master’s degree in Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Philology,
Psychology, Education, or a related field, with solid training in formal
linguistics and experimental methods. The candidate will develop their
research in the graduate program of the Translation and Language Science
Department: (https://www.upf.edu/web/phd-tradlangsci).

The official 2021 call is about to open, and once opened, the deadline to
apply is very short (2-week period). We encourage the potential candidates to
be familiar with the requirements by reading last year’s call:
