Meeting Description:

We would like to invite you to join LingO 2022! And we're very excited to
announce that the event will be live-streamed also. Join us in person or
virtually on June 24, 2022, at Wolfson College.

LingO 2022 is a single-day linguistics conference that aims to bring together
all strands of linguistic study by examining their relationships with society.

The event will include a plenary talk from Professor Devyani Sharma, oral and
poster presentations by graduate students and early career researchers, a
linguistics career panel, and opportunities for networking and socialising.

LingO 2022 is geared towards graduate students and early career researchers,
though all are welcome to attend.

The conference seeks to address the following questions:

1. How does linguistics contribute to our understanding of modern society, and
in what ways does societal development affect linguistic study?
2. What are the advantages of studying language in social contexts?
3. How can researchers best engage in linguistic communities?

We invite you to join us, either virtually or in person. Oral presentations,
the careers panel, and the keynote speaker will be live-streamed via Zoom.
Poster presentations will not be available for those joining from a distance.

To register, choose the appropriate option (virtual for £10 or in-person for
£16) at:
