Description:

The vacancy for the Program Manager is within the framework of the DFG-funded
Priority Programme 2329 "Visual Communication. Theoretical, Empirical and
Applied Perspectives (ViCom)" starting 01.10.2022 and initially limited until
30.09.2025 with the option of extension by 3 years after successful interim
evaluation of the Priority Programme. The job classification is based on the
job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe
University (TV-G-U). 

We are looking for a reliable and committed personality for the scientific
coordination of the entire priority programme. In the first funding phase, the
Priority Programme 2329 comprises nineteen research projects and one central
project, to which this position is assigned, as well as various packages of
measures (summer schools, conferences, PR and knowledge transfer, etc.).

Responsibilities:  
Your main task will be the planning and organisation of all measures assigned
to the central project. These tasks include:
 - the organisation of conferences,
 - the organisation of summer schools,
 - the administration of the Short-Term Collaboration Programme, 
 - the supervision of Mercator Fellows, and
 - the conception and implementation of PR measures and other knowledge
transfer activities. 
You will also support the participating projects in scientific data
management. In addition to these administrative tasks, you will be the
interface between the programme coordinator (Prof. Dr. Cornelia Ebert), the
projects, and the involved university administrations. You will be responsible
for managing the communication between these parties.

Your profile: 
You should have the following qualifications:
 - a completed academic university degree (Master or equivalent) in a relevant
subject (e.g. linguistics, psychology, philosophy or computer science) 
 - very good knowledge of German and English
 - excellent communication skills and very good organisational skills

The following knowledge and skills would be a plus:
 - Experience in the scientific coordination of collaborative projects and/or
interdisciplinary settings
 - PhD in a relevant subject
 - research experience in the field of gestures and/or sign languages
 - experience in public relations
 - advanced IT skills with regard to data management
