Call for proposals:

2023 Special Issue

The Journal for the Psychology of Language Learning (PLL) is inviting
proposals from prospective guest editors for its 2023 special issue. We seek
proposals that address a theme or topical area that will be of interest and
relevance to the journal's international readership in individual differences
and the psychology of language learning. We are especially interested in
special issue themes that highlight work in areas of inquiry, theoretical
approaches, and methodological tools in individual differences and the
psychology of language learning which are under-represented.

The proposal submitted should contextualize the topic, explain its
significance, discuss existing problems and gaps. and identify the
contributions of the proposed issue. A special issue may include any of the
approved article types: research articles, theoretical articles,
work-in-progress articles, replications, or book-reviews.

Special issue proposals are subject to approval from the journal editors and
the editorial board. Guest editors will be responsible for inviting and
selecting submissions, organizing the review process, and preparing the issue
for publication, etc.

Past special issues include:
2020 - The Psychology of Teaching and Learning in CLIL Contexts
2021 - Grit in Language Learning and Teaching 2022 - Taking Root: Establishing
Self-determination Theory as a Fertile Framework
for the Psychology of Language Learning
