Meeting Description:

The 32nd Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society, themed “Gathering
where Language Families meet”, provides a forum to share and discuss research
findings and ideas on the languages and linguistics of Southeast Asia,
including the Austroasiatic, Austronesian, Hmong-Mien, Sino-Tibetan, and
Tai-Kadai language families.


Call for Papers:

The 32nd Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society themed “Gathering
where Language Families meet” will be hosted by Chiang Mai University,
Thailand, from 17-19 May 2023. We look forward to receiving abstracts on a
wide range of descriptive and theoretical linguistic topics, including, but
not restricted to, linguistic typology, historical linguistics, language
contact, anthropological linguistics, language planning, literacy, and
bilingual education. Some 80 papers will be given in three days of on-site and
live online sessions. 

Abstract submission by EasyChair opens 1 November 2022, closes January 31
2023, and notification of acceptance will be given by February 28, 2023.
