Meeting Description:

The 32nd Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society, themed
“Gathering where Language Families meet”, provides a forum to share
and discuss research findings and ideas on the languages and
linguistics of Southeast Asia, including the Austroasiatic,
Austronesian, Hmong-Mien, Sino-Tibetan, and Tai-Kadai language
families.

Call for Papers:

The 32nd Meeting of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society will be
hosted by Chiang Mai University, Thailand, from 16-18 May 2023. The
meeting provides a forum to share and discuss research findings and
ideas on the languages and linguistics of Southeast Asia, including
the Austroasiatic, Austronesian, Hmong-Mien, Sino-Tibetan, and
Tai-Kadai language families. We look forward to receiving abstracts on
a wide range of descriptive and theoretical linguistic topics,
including, but not restricted to, linguistic typology, historical
linguistics, language contact, anthropological linguistics, language
planning, literacy, and bilingual education. Some 80 papers will be
given in three days of on-site and live online sessions.

Deadline for abstract submission is January 31, 2023, notification of
acceptance will be given by February 28, 2023.
