We are happy to announce that the 9th XPRAG - Experimental Pragmatics
Conference will be hosted by the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS
Pavia (Italy), on September 22-23, 2022.

Stephen C. Levinson (Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics)
Anna Papafragou (University of Pennsylvania)
Marc D. Pell (McGill University)
 
PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP
The main event will be preceded by a one-day workshop in Genoa (1 hour from
Pavia) on September 20 titled “Expressives. Theoretical and Experimental
Approaches to the Expressive Content” dedicated to the theoretical and
experimental approaches to (negative) expressives.
 
Pre-conference workshop invited speaker:
Elin McCready (Aoyama Gakuin University)
  
CONFERENCE FORMAT
The events will have a hybrid format, with all the keynote speakers and part
of the audience in presence and with the possibility for other participants to
attend online (depending on the evolution of the COVID-19 situation in
September 2022). More information for both in-presence and online
participation will be given in the due course.

Conference fees will be published together with the CfP.
