Meeting Description:

Ben M'sik Linguistics Laboratory is pleased to announce the 10th Symposium for
Linguistics Doctoral Students, on May 12-13, 2022 at the Faculty of Letters
and Human Sciences, Ben M'sik, Casablanca. This symposium is designed to offer
doctoral students who are conducting research in the areas of Linguistics an
opportunity to present, reflect on and debate their research concerns and
receive constructive feedback and criticism in a highly academic and
professional environment. The symposium will also be a golden opportunity to
meet and network with other doctoral students who share similar research
interests, concerns and aspirations.


Call for Papers:

The 10th Symposium for Linguistics Doctoral Students
Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences Ben M'sik - Casablanca.
May 12 and 13, 2022

The symposium is open to Moroccan and foreign linguistics Doctoral students to
present research and studies in general and comparative linguistics. The
symposium gives importance to the research that focuses on the Arabic language
from a comparative/ theoretical perspective.

Some of the proposed topics for the symposium:
- Arabic Linguistic Studies
(phonetic/phonological/morphological/lexical/syntactic/semantic/pragmatic,
etc.)
- Comparative studies of the Arabic language.
- Theoretical linguistics and its contribution to the teaching of the Arabic
language.
- Language contact between Moroccan Arabic and Standard Arabic.
- The contribution of the Arab grammarians to the modern linguistic research.
- Theoretical developments in dealing with linguistic issues in general.

Submission Guidelines
Proposals should be sent via e-mail in Word or PDF format, to the above
mentioned e-mail before April 15, 2022. 

Proposals shouldn't exceed one page and should include a title, a brief
presentation of the content, and selected refences.

Notes:
- Working languages: Arabic, English and French.
- The Linguistics Laboratory WILL NOT pay for the participants' travel and
accommodation expenses.
