Subject: Seeking Recommended Dictionary of American English

 
For a class I am teaching for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, I have
been asked to recommend a current printed dictionary of American English for
ordinary use to check spelling, definitions, grammatical category and similar
information.  Advice please!  If there is interest, I will post a summary at a
later time.  Thanks!
