Subject: Pygmalion, a Tool for Diachronic Interactive Visualisations (lexical maps)

Pygmalion is a tool developed to easily draw interactive visualisations of
meanings, functions, concepts, etc. in their diachronic evolution. A short
description of the tool and instructions on how to use it can be found here:
https://woposs.unine.ch/pygmalion.php

Pygmalion
 is available in three versions.

Pygmalion-simple 1.0,
the basic version of the tool: https://woposs.unine.ch/pygmalion.php

Pygmalion-colour 1.0
which enables to add colour-coded analytical categories defined by the user:
https://woposs.unine.ch/pygmalion-colour.php

Pygmalion-modal 1.0
which is specifically designed for drawing diachronic maps of modal markers or
concepts:
https://woposs.unine.ch/pygmalion-modal.php

Pygmalion is a flexible and multifunctional tool we developed in the framework
of the SNSF-funded project a World of Possibilities (WoPoss). Modal pathways
over an extra-long period of time: the diachrony of modality in the Latin
language (https://woposs.unine.ch).
In our showcase you will find some examples of application of the tool to
modal markers (https://woposs.unine.ch/diachronic-visualisations.php#maps) and
beyond: https://woposs.unine.ch/pygmalion.php#gallery

We invite you to try it out and send us your Pygmalion maps and/or your
feedback at francesca.delloro [at] unine.ch

The project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
