Description:

We are currently seeking for a language-focussed content identification and
creation role in the following language/locales:
 - Amharic (Ethiopia)
 - Hausa (Nigeria)

Productive Playhouse, a production and language services company in Los
Angeles, is currently undertaking language and linguistics focused projects
for a range of locales which will contribute to a broader body of speech
technology. For this particular task, we are seeking native speakers of the
above locales with fluent English skills and at least undergraduate level
understanding of syntax in their language. Candidates should be able to commit
at least 20 hours per week, with the project expected to run for 6-8 weeks.
All work is carried out online, can be done remotely from anywhere, and is for
immediate start.

This task will require content identification and creation capabilities, and
may also require successful candidates to translate or localize content. The
nature of the work will include:
 - Identifying types of phrases in their language
 - Creating well-formatted emphatic sentences with an upbeat tone to match
these phrase types

Linguist Qualifications:
 - Native-speaker of the target language/locale
 - Formal higher education in Linguistics or Language Sciences
 - Professional working proficiency in English
 - At least bachelor level of understanding of syntax in their language
 - Content creation experience (desirable)
 - Translation or localization experience (desirable)
 - Stable and high-speed internet connection
 - Availability for immediate start
