Description:
The Language Documentation Summer School 2022 (LDSS 2022) aims to introduce
students to the methods and tools of field research for the documentation of
linguistic varieties and dialects.

The LDSS 2022 program will involve discussions of the theory and practice of
language documentation, description and revitalisation, along with case
studies highlighting the objectives, methods and results achieved during
fieldwork research in various locations around the world. The LDSS 2022
program also includes a practical training session during which participants
will learn about and work with the main tools and software used for the
analysis and storage of linguistic data. They will have the opportunity to
engage in the collection of linguistic data with native speakers.

Registration Instructions:
Application should be forwarded via email before May 21st for early bird
inscription (cost 80,00€) and by June 20th for the normal inscription (cost
180,00€). 

Early bird inscription includes a special rate for the accommodation, a lunch
break, the material for the school and Summer School dinner on July 14th while
normal inscription includes the material for the school and Summer School
dinner on July 14th. The discounted rate for the accommodation is not
guaranteed and it is available only while seats last. The lunch break is
14€/person and should be confirmed by June 20th.

The payment should be forwarded within May 21st for the early bird inscription
and within June 20th for the normal one. The payment is via IBAN for foreigner
students and through PagoPA for Italian students.
