Description:

no-shows. Blossom supports language development, early literacy, and
home-school connections through an online bilingual education platform where
children and adults can read stories together in customized blends of two
languages. Canopy Innovations enables health systems to break through medical
language barriers and provide the best care for patients with limited English
proficiency (LEP) through a suite of cutting-edge products to train,
recognize, and support bilingual healthcare professionals.

This position is remote. However there is frequent need to be onsite in New
York City through at least June 2023.

Qualifications: 
 - Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, public health, applied
linguistics, psychology, sociology, or related fields and 2+ years of research
experience
 - Experience carrying out data collection in complex education and/or
healthcare settings; comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative data
collection methodologies
 - Skilled at data collection with diverse and sometimes vulnerable
populations, including young children, pregnant women, and individuals who
speak languages other than English
 - Familiarity with grant compliance, research ethics, human subjects research
considerations, and IRB applications
 - Experience designing survey and interview instruments for research, coding
and cleaning data, assisting with data analysis, and writing research reports
 - Experience providing training and support for new users of digital products
such as apps or websites
 - Exceptional task management abilities and organizational skills, able to
navigate multiple competing priorities, extremely strong oral and written
communication, and meticulous attention to detail

Responsibilities: 
 - Prepare research and evaluation materials such as surveys, interview
protocols, observational protocols, instructions to participants, and consent
forms
 - Execute research study protocols both remotely and onsite at schools or
healthcare institutions including data collection through surveys, interviews,
child assessments, and classroom observations (including video recordings)
 - Foster relationships with preK-12 educational institutions, community-based
organizations, and healthcare facilities to pilot new products
 - Conduct data coding, cleaning and analysis; assist with publishing research
findings and presenting case studies at conferences
 - Work closely with product managers and software engineers to translate
stakeholder feedback and research findings into actionable product development
requirements
 - Write public-facing research reports and share insight into the evidence
base behind our product offerings with our marketing and sales teams
