Meeting Description:

The Workshop on Formal Linguistics (WFL) is a periodic international
event held in Brazil that brings together work in formal linguistics
(syntax, semantics, morphology, pragmatics, phonology, and interfaces)
by researchers from Brazil and abroad. The event also promotes
minicourses, roundtables, and lectures by world-renowned scholars in
the field. In 2024, in its fourteenth edition, the WFL will be held at
the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in the city of Rio de
Janeiro, and will take place between the 3rd and 7th of June. The
event will pay tribute to Ana Lúcia Müller (full professor at
University of São Paulo - USP), founder, more than twenty years ago,
of WFL and an important Brazilian semanticist.

Between June 3rd and 4th minicourses will be taught by professors Ana
Müller and Loise McNally. Between June 5th and 7th, the oral and
poster presentations, roundtables, and lectures will take place.

on Formal Linguistics (WFL), which will be held at UFRJ in Rio de
Janeiro, are open. You can submit your abstract (in English; see
