Subject: Slavic Linguistics (hybrid) Seminars in Verona - Spring/summer Cycle

Dear all,

Posted below you will find the first, provisional schedule of the
spring-summer cycle of hybrid seminars in Slavic Linguistics,
organized within the Sliv@ (Slavistics in Verona) project of the
Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of
Verona. Those of you who have already attended our past meetings are
kindly asked to take note of the new timetable—every seminar will now
be held from 3.45 p.m. to 5.15 p.m. (Rome time).

We are going to be kicking things off in great style already next
week, February 16th, when Marko Simonović (Karl-Franzens-Universität
Graz) will drop by Verona on his way to IGG48 to tell us a secret:
"Niš, Zagreb and Rijeka have Spanish-like lexical stress systems. ¿Por
qué?" Needless to say we are all ears!

The full list of scheduled talks can be seen below:

in Slavic subordinate clauses (cases like Ja ego srazu uznal, kogda
uvidel v koridore): preliminary typology and theoretical analysis

May 11th - 3.45-5.15 p.m. Rome time
Catherine Rudin (Wayne State College) - Imperatives and
pseudo-imperatives in Bulgarian

June 1st - 3.45-5.15 p.m. Rome time
