Hello all,

You are all warmly invited to join us for the launch of the Endangered
Languages Project's Language Revitalization Mentors program on
February 21. You can register here: http://bit.ly/mentors-launch

The Language Revitalization Mentors program will offer free guidance
and support for anyone working to strengthen their language. Anyone
can schedule virtual sessions to talk with a mentor, find knowledge
and resources that fit their context, and get support and
encouragement in their work.

The mentors - Dr. Pius Akumbu, Yulha Lhawa, Yazmín Novelo, and
Alexandra Philbin - are all linguists, revitalization practitioners,
and speakers of Indigenous or minoritized languages. Each has
extensive experience and knowledge about keeping languages strong.
Together, they will be able to offer mentoring in 11 languages:
English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Irish, Yucatec Maya, Amdo Tibetan,
Cameroonian Pidgin English, Catalan, Kejom, and Khroskyabs.

On Feb. 21, International Mother Language Day, join us for an "open
house" event to meet the mentors, learn more about the mentoring
program, and connect with other language champions around the world.
The event will be mostly in English, with live interpretation into
Spanish and French.

All are welcome - please share with your friends and colleagues, and
get in touch if you have any questions or would like to learn more. We
hope to see you there!
