Description:

Applications are invited for : Instructor I/II (Japanese) in the Chan Feng
Men-ling Chan Shuk-lin Language Centre [Ref. B/663/03]

Duties :  
 - Teach Japanese language courses and/or other courses as assigned;
 - Contribute to curriculum design and materials development;
 - Contribute to projects, services and activities; and
 - Take up an area of responsibility such as program/course coordination or
programmatic support.

Requirements :  
A Master’s or doctoral degree in Japanese Language/Linguistics or a
closely-related field [e.g. MA in Second Language Teaching (Japanese major)]
or a Master’s degree in a relevant field with an undergraduate degree or 18
post-graduate credits in Japanese; and at least 2 years’ full-time teaching
experience (post-graduation) at the secondary level or above. Substantial
experience in teaching Japanese at the tertiary level and proven experience in
the development of materials in both face-to-face and technology-mediated
modes are an advantage.

Candidates with 4 years’ appropriate post-graduate full-time teaching
experience may be considered for appointment as Instructor I.

Salary and Conditions of Service: 
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with
qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term
contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
