Description:

The Department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese (University Park) invites
applications for a full-time Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor position
in Spanish (non-tenure track), to begin in Fall 2023. This is a limited-term
appointment, for one year from the date of hire, with possibility of annual
renewal.
 
Responsibilities include teaching introductory and intermediate language
courses. Teaching load is 8 hybrid courses per year or equivalent
configuration. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in English
and Spanish and have completed an MA in Spanish. Demonstrated excellence in
teaching Spanish is preferred. Rank will be determined based on education and
experience.

study abroad programs, course design, and/or recruitment of majors and minors.
In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal
Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
