Description:
The NYI Global Institute of Cultural, Cognitive, and Linguistic Studies is an
interdisciplinary institute focusing on theoretical linguistics as well as
critical cultural studies. V-NYI is the virtual, global version of NYI, now in
its 6th session.

V-NYI is open to advanced undergraduate and graduate students from all
backgrounds and countries interested in comparative and formal approaches to
theoretical linguistics as well as race and gender studies and literature and
fine arts.

Participants create their own study program from seminars in the following
fields:
- Generative Linguistics (Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics,
Experimental Linguistics, Language & Politics)
- Critical Cultural Studies (Race and Ethnicity Studies; Gender and Sexuality
Studies; Literature; Visual Arts)
