Meeting Description:

The international conference “Lexicography in the XXI century” was established
in 2022 by Ilia State University and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
The organizer of the conference is “The Centre for Lexicography and Language
Technologies” of Ilia State University. The conference will be held
bi-annually, alternatively at Ilia State University and Batumi State
University.

The aim of the Conference is to create a forum for the discussion of issues of
modern lexicography in Georgia. At the Conference, special attention will be
paid to the participation of young researchers. The Conference will have
sessions dedicated to MA and Ph.D. students.


Call for Papers:

Papers and posters are invited for the Conference on the following topics:

1. Lexicography and language technologies
2. Lexicography and corpus linguistics
3. Lexicography for Specialized Languages, Terminology, and Terminography
4. Lexicological Issues of Lexicographical Relevance
5. Bilingual Lexicography
6. The Dictionary-Making Process
7. Research on Dictionary Use
8. Issues of Dictionary Didactics.

The main topics are not meant to exclude any lexicographic topic. Papers and
posters that are relevant to the conference, but which do not fit into any of
the categories 1-8, will be reviewed nonetheless and considered for
presentation.

Types of contributions

Submissions can be presented as 

- Full papers
- Posters 

The working languages of the Conference are Georgian and English. Georgian
abstracts should be translated into English.

Guidelines for submissions:

Font: Times New Roman, 12

Spacing: 1.5 lines

Number of words: minimum 500 words

All proposals will be anonymously reviewed by two members of the Scientific
Committee.  

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is June 15, 2023.
