Description:

The Language Sciences Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
invites applications for a position in Syntax at the Assistant or
Associate Professor rank. We are especially interested in applicants
with additional expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Semantics, Indigenous languages of North or Central America, language
variation and change, experimental methods, and/or computational
linguistics.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a
state-of-the-art research program, teach courses at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels in their research areas and more
broadly, and mentor both undergraduate and graduate students.
University and professional service will also be expected as
appropriate.

PhD in Linguistics or a related field is required at the time of
appointment.

Candidates should demonstrate evidence of high-quality research and
teaching, and evidence of, or potential for, mentoring graduate and
undergraduate students.
