Hello Linguist List!

Welcome to another midweek Challenge update! We have hit $14,000, but
we aren’t even halfway yet! We need YOU! Yeah, YOU! We need YOU to
donate if we want the Linguist List to exist after next month. It
doesn’t matter big or small, but any donation from our followers who
enjoy our service allows us to not only do our job but to pursue our
passion.

Now let’s get into the challenge update!

In the Subfield Challenge, Syntax keeps the pedal down! With $1,985,
Syntax pushes the lead over Phonology to $764. In third, Pragmatics
sits with $1,047. Computational Linguistics has joined the board with
$34 and Translation in last, with $15. Don’t let your subfield fall
behind, and someone catch Syntax!

In the University Challenge, Stanford holds first place, but not by
much! Wayne State remains $60 out of first place, and the race is
close across the board! We have also been joined by Maria Curie
Sklodowska University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the
United Arab Emirates University! Make sure your University gets the
representation it deserves and get your donations in now!

In the Country Challenge, the US maintains the lead with over $6,000,
however, third place Spain is mounting up for a run for second,
creeping up towards Germany, who has $825! We also see movement from
Switzerland and Greece, both moving up the leaderboard. Donate and
